Synopsis:  On 11-12-09 Nina Von Schweinitz mother reported her to the Hermosa Beach Police Department as a missing person.  Preliminary investigations revealed that she was possibly in the area of "Slab City" near Niland CA.  Investigators canvassed "Slab City" for witnesses who might know the missing persons whereabouts.  It was discovered she had been in the area of "Slab City" and did not appear to be under duress.  But, the missing person had left the area prior to investigators arrival. The last statements made by the missing person was that she was going on a road trip east on the 10 freeway.

"Slab City" is an abandoned military base about 3 miles outside of Niland CA.  The only thing left of the base is the cement slabs from the military barracks.  Numerous people have made it a permanent residence by parking their RV's on the cement slabs.
